Peacefulfish, a leading consulting company specialized in financing the content industry, will give an overview of the current financial instruments existing in Europe and will present the benefits of introducing film finance incentives for the development of the local film industry as well as strong economic returns through local production in a presentation as a part of the 4th International Eurasia Film Festival.
The presentation will take place on October 16, and will be done by Thierry Baujard.
U.K., France and Germany have all introduced tax credits (with Spain and Italy having now passed similar laws) but also smaller countries like Malta, Norway, Belgium or Hungary have created similar incentives. Also many public/private funds dedicated to films are now developing in many regions across Europe and create a strong competition to win international film projects.
Turkey, with a strong past and current cinematography, would be a strong competitor to many countries for central and Mediterranean area if some film incentives would be introduced.
Peacefulfish will also present in details the different possibilities offered to Turkey for introducing film incentives as well as the process needed both to find the right instrument and to implement it for max benefits to the local producers.
Peacefulfish, based in Berlin, has a strong experience in that field with financing projects for producers and strategic consulting for the following governments and regions: Norway, Estonia, Barcelona, London, Wales, Malta, Dubai.
