The names of the members of the jury for the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, the biggest and the longest running festivity of film in Turkey were announced in the traditional DIGITURK Press Conference and Party organized in August 18.

Host by Suada, DIGITURK Press conference and party has been attended by distinguished names from the world of arts and media. The night was opened by the speech of Mr. Menderes Türel, the Honorary President of the Festival and the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.

The names of the members of the juries for t he national feature film competition, national documentary competition and the national short film competition have been revealed by Mr. Engin Yiğitgil, the President of TURSAK.

Tuncel Kurtiz, perennial actor of the Turkish cinema, will be presiding the national competition's grand jury of the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. The members of the national competition jury are:

44 other names will be scrutinizing films and screenplays for the 6 sections of the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.

The Script Development Fund

Initiated in 2007 to encourage co-productions and to support the productions in their scriptwriting phase, the "Scriptwriting Fund" continues to support screenplay authors in 2008. The Fund is accepting submissions before September 30, 2008. The election jury comprises of actor, stage director and playwright Kenan Işık, director Tevfik Başer and producer Elif Dağdeviren.

THE HONORARY AWARD, "YILDIRIM ÖNAL MEMORIAL AWARD", THE LABOUR AWARD AND THE ACHIVEMENT AWARD OF THE 45TH ANTALYA GOLDEN ORANGE FILM FESTIVAL

The Press Conference and the party also revealed the recipients of the Honorary Award, Yıldırım Önal Memorial Award, Labour Award and the Achivement Award which is to be given for the first time at the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.

The Honorary Award of the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival will be given to SESAM (Union of Professional Owners of Cinema Works) President Yılmaz Atadeniz. The recipient of the "Yıldırım Önal Memorial Award" is Müşfik Kenter. Designated by SİNESEN (Cinema Workers Union), the Labour Award will to be given to Lighting Director Aydın Mesut Yurteri and the Achivement Award, which will be designated by ÇASOD (Modern Cinema Actors and Actresses Association) and SODER (Cinema Actors' Association) will be presented to the Turkish Cinema's adept actress Hülya Avşar.
