An award-runner at the National Feature Film Competition of the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, 2008 San Sebastian Golden Shell awarded "Pandora's Box" directed by Yeşim Ustaoğlu raised curtains for the Turkish film lovers. The Q&A session that succeeded the screening hosted Yeşim Ustaoğlu and the film's stars Derya Alabora, Onur Ünlü and Osman Sonant answering the questions of the spectators and the members of the press.

In response to the questions concerning the film's pre-production, Yeşim Ustaoğlu explained the creative team of the film has made an extensive research on Alzheimer disease and has gone through a long period for preparations. Ustaoğlu added the film narrates, asides the story of disease, "a mouldy tale of a family" and their choice to include the misty scenes have been the result of this.

Actress Derya Alabora stated that the shooting of the film went without any problems due to the fact that they have discussed many issues before filming the scenes.
